I have taken the Mardi Gras World Tour before and it's pretty cool! Great photo opps for up close props and even a few floats around!
Perfect for TOURISTS! Perfect for LOCALS! Even though I grew up in New Orleans and have attended every Mardi Gras my entire life - I still learned a lot about Mardi Gras Today - and it's history! If you can't take the tour until after Mardi Gras - that's ok too - you still get king cake, and your own "personal" Mardi Gras experience!
I was lucky enough to have a tour guided by Blaine Kern, Sr. himself (I kid you not!) but I can assure you that all the tour guides are very knowledgeable about Mardi Gras and the how-to's of how it all gets created!
