I suggest going early - the lines are LONG! You will receive rabies shot onsite and a voucher to redeem for FREE Microchip at a later date (by appt at select vets)

I have found the following reduced cost programs to help with having your dogs/cats spayed/neutered - I have used both programs in Jefferson Parish and was very satisfied and it was super easy!

Standard Fees

Dogs between 5 - 25 lbs: $75
Dogs more than 25 lbs: $100
Cats more than 4 lbs: $45
Feral cats more than 4 lbs: $25
*Feral cats are homeless undomesticated cats and depend on animal lovers to assistthem through the TNR Program (Trap-Neuter-Return). Feral cats receive a rabies vaccine and a mandatory surgical ear tip during the time of surgery. For more information on feral cats and TNR, visit www.la-spca.org/feralcats.

Reduced fees are also available for households currently receiving federal or state assistance, citizens more than 65 years of age, full-time students, military and first responders.
