GENERAL TIPS FOR EARLY SCREENINGS:
As I have attended MANY advanced screenings of films, here are some tips/suggestions:
ARRIVE EARLY! This pass does NOT guarantee admission as more passes are given out than seats available. Seats are first come, first serve – so the key is to arrive early! As this screening starts at 7 pm, I would suggest arriving between 5-5:30 pm. My kids usually do homework and/or eat dinner at the theatre while we wait!
EVERYONE MUST BE PRESENT! The promoters will usually hand out bands in advance – all four of your guests must be present when this happens (so hubby bringing the kids right before the film won’t work!)
GO GET SEATS BEFORE FOOD! Once you can enter the theatre, go get seats right away! Remember every seat in the theatre will eventually be filled, so don’t get stuck in the front row! AMC has FREE refills on Large Popcorn and Drinks, so take advantage of this (grab a few complimentary cups for the kiddos)
ENJOY THE MOVIE- and most importantly, remember you saw it for FREE!

The third annual Crescent City Summer Celebration Parade will roll through downtown New Orleans on Tuesday, June 16, in anticipation of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey® Presents LEGENDSSMvisiting New Orleans June 18 – 21 at the Smoothie King Center.
The free and open-to-the-public event will feature local partners and extraordinary sights from Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey® Presents LEGENDSSMincludingRingmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson, clowns and other stars from The Greatest Show On Earth®. Spectators will also have a chance to win free tickets to opening night by catching some of Ringling’s exciting throws.
The
parade will commence at the Smoothie King Center and travel down Girod
Street, turn left on Carondelet Street, travel down Poydras Street to
Sugar Bowl Drive and conclude on West Stadium Drive back to the Smoothie
King Center. As the parade comes to the end, a “watering event” will be
held at the Loyola Avenue and Poydras Street intersection where
spectators will have a chance to see how Ringling keeps its largest and most pampered animals cool in the summer heat.
This is VERY QUICK and fun outing for kids!
