The Music
  • CeeLo Green: As one-half of neo-soul/funk duo Gnarls Barkley, the solo artist behind the hit “Forget You,” and a judge on NBC’s The Voice, Green made a name for himself with his distinctive voice and even more distinctive fashion sense, which often entails floor-length fur coats and a pet cockatoo perched on his shoulder.
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd: The Southern rock legends—including core members Johnny Van Zant, Gary Rossington, and Rickey Medlocke—get crowds riled with hits such as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” and “That Smell.”
  • Gregg Allman Band: The founding member of The Allman Brothers Band lets his hair down even further in a set of bluesy, Southern rock stompers such as “Midnight Rider” and “Whipping Post.”
  • The Guess Who: The long-running band specializes in classic rock done Canadian style, which is why favorites including “American Woman” and “These Eyes” were originally recorded in a vat of poutine.
  • Big Smo: The artist formerly known as John Lee Smith shares hick-hop raps about trucks, barbecue, and whiskey that sound like Hank Williams Jr. and the Nappy Roots after they were fused in a teleporter accident.
  • Also Appearing: Cherub Phosphorescent DJ Wick-it the Instigator Robert Randolph & The Family Marc Broussard
  • Full lineup available soon.
The Festivities
  • The Food: Attendees can nosh on hearty meals at the Italian Village, beers and brats at the German Beer Garden, and a giant dining tent serving over 150 dishes ranging from traditional New Orleans cuisine to barbecue and Vietnamese food.
  • Arts and Crafts: Redecorate your house, or yourself, with jewelry, paintings, and blown glassware from more than 80 booths.
  • Carnival Rides: Hang onto your hat as you test gravity’s mettle on rides such as the the Tilt A World and the menacingly named Tornado and Titanic.****************************************************************************
