Safari Quest Laser Tag - Review and Giveaway!

Want to take a walk on the WILD SIDE? Think Lions...Tigers...Bears...and Laser Tag!

Safari Quest Laser Tag located in Hammond (right down the street from the Hammond Square Shopping Center) has the right atmosphere for a fun time!

We recently stopped in and had a great time! First thing we did was swing like monkeys on the Coconut Climbing Trees!  I had never seen this before and it is similar to rock wall climbing (bungee/harness, etc)...but you climb a tiny little tree!  There are 2 trees (one with ropes to make it a little easier to climb) and you can compete with another "monkey" to see who can reach the top first - about 2 stories high!

I have to say it looks easier than it is! I made it half way up and wanted to get down!  My kids needed an extra boost to get going...but some teenagers came in after us and totally rocked it! A few notes I learned: Pull with your arms only, just hug the tree with your legs...and to go back down just kick off the tree with your legs (or you bump your way down slowly on every limb - ouch!)

Next we were up for LASER TAG! The Owners also own Adventure Quest Laser Tag in Elmwood, but this is a TOTALLY different experience!  The facility has multi levels with lots of twists and turns to hide so you can "hit" your target unexpectedly!  Head up the ramp to the second story with a large zig zag walkway with tons of great hiding spots - they also have bases to score extra points too! AND A BIG BONUS: There are NO height requirements or age restrictions! So everyone gets to play!

Of course my kids favorite part was the prizes! One cool feature was that the kids were able to put tickets into the "ticket eater" themselves and with 500 plus tickets between them, we walked out with quite a few cool prizes!

They also have Human Hamster Balls (before 6 pm only, so we were too late to try this one) and of course a Safari themed party area with bamboo moveable walls - lots of scenic backdrops - and great party package prices!  Check out more info on package pricing here.

SOOO...Here are the special deals/promotions that I found to help save money but still ensure you have a FUN time:

  • Sun-Thurs only: $20 for unlimited LASER TAG for 3 hours! (regular price is $6.50/game so this is a GREAT DEAL!)
  • Tuesday is 2 games for the price of 1 (so $3.25/game if you just want to play a game or two)
  • Wednesday is 1 FREE game with an "A" on your report card, limit 1 per person.
  • Token Deal - $22 worth of tokens for $20 (must purchase at cashier to get the deal)
  • Food at the "watering hole" is reasonably priced - Nachos for $2.75 and unlimited soft drinks for $3.00
  • You can order a pizza from next door and bring it over (grab their to-go menu and get a coupon from it) OR you can eat next door (Wednesday night is Kids Eat FREE night)
We ate next door after playing Laser Tag, and when we left the restaurant, they gave me (2) free Laser Tag game tickets (valued at $6.50 each)...and I am giving them away to one lucky fan!

  2. My family would love to play! We have a couple that are too young for the other facilities. They would be so excited! An the older kids would be stoked that we can all play!
